It’s been a real privilege, sitting in the Thunderbird 1 support minibus, watching our riders power up the hills of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire as if they’re nothing.
But of course that’s not true. Those hills have been hard work for everyone and the toughest terrain that some of our team has ever tackled.
And so they begin today’s 90-odd mile slog with tired legs and sore shoulders, ready to take on the lumps and bumps of Northampton, Oxfordshire and finally into Hampshire.
